Do I have to have experience in singing, dancing and acting to participate?
Not at all! All abilities are welcome to join.

What activities will we do as part of the workshop?
You will be working with music theatre industry professionals to learn and improve your skills in singing, acting and dancing for music theatre. This is a very active workshop where you’ll be given the opportunity to learn choreography, acting skills, vocal and performance techniques, and new songs, plus make new friends with like-minded peers.

What do I need to bring?
A water bottle, your lunch and some snacks, clothes you feel comfortable moving in, a notebook and pen for any note taking, and a smile! Please note: closed-in shoes must be worn throughout Thomas Dixon Centre.

You will need to prepare a solo song in either music theatre or pop style for your vocal workshop. Please bring a backing track on a USB stick or a link to a backing track on YouTube or Dropbox on the first day. We understand that singing in front of others can be daunting (especially if you’ve never done it before), but this is the best environment to give it a go! Students can choose to opt out, but we highly encourage all of our participants to participate in a safe and supportive environment with the support of our expert instructors.

Is there an age limit?
We welcome students who are in Grade 7 through to Grade 12.

Will there be a performance outcome?
Yes! You will give a showcase performance on the final afternoon to invited family, friends and guests.

What if I’m sick and can’t attend?
That’s ok! Please reach out to the Little Red team at info@thelittleredcompany.com. Terms and Conditions apply.

Is the workshop venue accessible?
Yes! Thomas Dixon Centre is wheelchair accessible with lifts operating within the building and flat floor street front access.

Are there food and drink options nearby?
Yes! There is a supermarket and food outlets across the road from Thomas Dixon Centre. You will require parental permission to leave the premises at lunch time.
